And may all the thoughts, words, and actions of my own life contribute, at least in some small way, towards this happiness and freedom for all.

From the heart, I offer you all of my support, knowledge, and experience so that you can share it with others.
— Gregory Angell

What if you had a chance to seize an opportunity that could change your life forever?!

Become a certified Yoga Teacher and inspiration within your community through this unique 200hr 12-month programme, incorporating key teacher training elements blended with mentoring and self-study.

No Prerequisites. Open to all.

The goal of this training is to produce inspiring Yoga teachers who are able to draw on their own practice and personal discipline in imparting the Yoga experience to others. The training will not be just an academic transferring of techniques; the teachings will be transmitted in such a way that the essence of Yoga can be absorbed into the heart of the student.

For any science to be useful, it must address two aspects: theory and practice. Even the best of theoretical knowledge is insufficient in itself to solve the problems of life. And if knowledge is not put into practice, it only serves the purpose of intellectual entertainment.

This teacher training is not content with providing a lofty philosophical understanding of of Yoga; it will also instil clear-cut techniques for implementing its precepts for everyday living.

THIS COURSE WILL ENABLE YOU TO:

  • Awaken and strengthen your yoga practice

  • Develop the intuition, knowledge, and confidence to teach others

  • Experience the yogic way of living

  • Connect to the authentic traditions and spiritual lineages of Yoga

  • Become an internationally recognised and certified Yoga Instructor

Teacher training demands a high level of self-discipline, affording a unique opportunity to extend the limits of one’s capabilities, including strength and stamina, with long lasting effects. Yoga teachers should also be Yogic practitioners; with this in mind the course is designed to be intensive, immersing the students in a balanced programme of Yogic theory and practise for all-round physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual development. Teaching Yoga demands a complete mindset of serving others; sharing and respecting the traditions of Yoga with energy, enthusiasm, and joy.

Greg has acquired a wealth of experience and knowledge through 25 years of practising and studying yoga and 17 years of teaching yoga full-time; this knowledge and experience will be shared with you throughout the 12-month course syllabus. As you will be working with Greg over an extended period of time, he will be communicating and sharing with you on a weekly basis, in and outside of class time.

You will be challenged on this course, and will realise that you have an amazing amount of strength and perseverance within you. You will develop a new relationship with yourself as you watch yourself show up, watch your physical, mental, and spiritual self develop, and experience a deep sense of gratitude for the journey. You’ll also learn how to listen to your needs and follow your intuition; supporting you in all areas of your life. You will make friends for life; a yoga teacher training is a truly transformational experience. The people that surround you on this journey naturally become your allies and your cheerleaders day in and day out.

You will understand yoga in an entirely new way. Like so many things in life, it isn’t until you truly live the teachings of yoga that they begin to unravel and become clear. You may be an experienced practitioner or you may have only dipped your toes in the yogic ocean long enough to know you want to dive deeper. Either way, this yoga teacher training will completely transform your understanding of this ancient practice.

All other areas of your life will also transform; as yoga begins to infiltrate your life in new ways, you will notice that all areas of your life change. Chances are, your relationships will transform. How you work or what you do for work may shift. The routines that you have in life may adapt to suit your needs in new ways. A yoga teacher training opens our eyes to the things that are working in our life, and also the things that may need a little extra attention. For many people, a yoga teacher training can be the beginning of a brand new chapter of life. For others, it may be small things, maybe you let go of relationships that have been toxic or you simply rise a little earlier than normal to squeeze in some self care time before work. These changes ultimately support you and are reflective of the positive changes that a yoga teacher training inspires.

Asana

Each day you will both study and engage in practical hands-on learning as Gregory guides you as to how to teach asanas and pranayama. The daily in-depth practise with individual corrections includes:

Yogic cleansing exercises, known as ‘kriyās’ assist nature in removing waste products from our bodies.

 FAQs

  • Yoga is relevant and transformational for everybody. It’s a a real concern that people who would make great yoga teachers don’t sign up for the training because they don’t feel they ‘fit’ the mould. And the world is a poorer place because of it. The world doesn’t need more flexible people. What the world needs is more authentic, and by extension imperfect, yoga teachers.

The Grace Of Imperfection - As a by-product of practice, a yoga practitioner might master yoga postures, but yoga is not about mastery of postures. Yoga is about mastering the art of simply being, by relaxing the body, soothing the emotions, and calming the mind.

There is no such thing as a perfect yoga teacher. Let’s celebrate our imperfections and encourage all students to do the same. This course will gift you with presence, mindfulness, compassion, patience and generosity. You will come to see how yoga exists in everything, and that every moment is an opportunity to practise. As a teacher, you will then share this wisdom with others. You will see that there is no finish line in yoga and that your teacher training is only the beginning of a new and exciting journey.

  • Yoga teacher training is a personal and unique journey. Your shifts, realisations, and experiences will not be the same as anybody else, but one thing’s for sure, you will no longer be the same person after this experience!

If you’re thinking about doing a yoga teacher training course, you may have heard many people say that it’s a life changing and transformative experience, even if you don’t intend to teach yoga. We’re not exaggerating when we say your life will never be the same after this yoga teacher training! It’s not like any other training course where you merely learn a new skill or develop an existing one. You might be surprised when you realise just how yoga teacher training changes you and, as a result, your entire life. Of course, you’ll dramatically improve your yoga practice, but you’ll get much more from it than just skills and knowledge.

We don't enrol lots of students and are dedicated to small class sizes to offer each of you the best connection with your trainer. You will never be left alone with your text books either because this course has 180 hours of contact and prioritises personal connection and support.

  • We will be meeting on 14 dates which equates to 180 hours of study (not including lunch breaks). Outside of the 14 dates there will be a need for personal practice and study. To get the most out of the course we would suggest a minimum of 5 hours per week.

You are able to miss 2 contact days throughout the course and still graduate. However, we do recommend catching up all missed days on a subsequent course.
